Today, I am sharing 10 wearable winter fashion trends for 2021, and that is the keyword, wearable, because there’s so many trends out there that are just weird, okay? You don’t actually want to wear them. You just seem them on a runway somewhere. So these trends are so stylish, and comfortable, and really easily incorporated into your existing wardrobe.
So I am teaming up with Nordstrom for this article. I always do this, every new season, if you know, you know, but I love Nordstrom so much. I feel like their website and their store just has a really good mix of trendy new pieces, but then, also, the essentials and the must-haves, the favorites that we all just know and love. Really good, quality clothes, shoes, and accessories.
So you’re probably wondering what the heck I am wearing. I am wearing a full one-piece body suit which I love. It’s actually a lot more flattering than what you might think. It really sucks you in, and there’s different ones you can buy. I’ll link a few options down below, but this one is a tank top version. They do have ones that are long sleeve, that’s really great for winter. And then, there’s obviously lots of color options.
But I love black. Again, I feel like it’s really, really flattering, and it just sets the foundation for the head-to-toe monochrome look. Okay, really quick, before I move on, like I said, If you don’t, I highly suggest getting a pair of these. They are so, so nice and flattering, and you can incorporate these into many outfits. But you can just wear these with a black top, and you’ve got a very similar look. Okay, so the next trend that I am seeing with the full monochrome look is it being paired with long coats. So, long coats are really in right now, and I especially love this one, really, for many reasons, because not only does it mix a classic look, being, it’s a trench coat, but it incorporates a trendy vibe with the faux leather.
So the sleeves are lined with a really nice faux leather material. There’s also the pockets. It does come with a removable faux leather belt, and this is great for really cinching your waist, and it works so well, and what’s really cool about this particular belt is, since you can remove it, you can incorporate it into other outfits as well and really dress up those outfits too. So I love this so much! I also wanted to point out another feature about this coat. If you notice, the buttons, they’re silver buttons. It’s like an edgy vibe, but really nice looking as well. But you can actually remove the sleeves from this coat, and it becomes kind of a trench coach vest, which would be great for fall and spring as well. So this is just a great coat for the money. It’s actually really well-priced, but you can do so much with it. The next wearable trend that I am obsessed with, I feel like anyone can incorporate this into their existing wardrobe, and it is mixed-metal handbags. I’m seeing it everywhere. I’ve always been a fan of mixing my metals. My everyday jewelry always has yellow gold and white gold, but now, I am really seeing it in handbags. And this particular one, it’s by Kurt Geiger, this is my first bag of his.
And I am super impressed with the detail of it, the quality, it really looks expensive, but it doesn’t have that luxury designer price point. It really does play up or play down to whatever you’re wearing, so if you’re wearing a boring, very casual outfit, this still works, it plays down to that level. If you’re wearing a more dressy outfit, this can be easily dressed up. But really, the detailing of this is impeccable. So there is the white and the yellow gold. There’s also a phoenix bird head that has really nice gem details to it. It feels really, it’s just a nice bag. So this is a crossbody. I’ll link a few others down below that are different shapes, and sizes, and colors. But this one is just especially nice in my opinion. And I love pairing it with the long coat, and the monochrome underneath. It just jazzes up the whole outfit. I’m about to change into a completely different outfit, but before I do, I wanted to share another trend that I am loving and seeing everywhere, and it is a diamond or gemstone initial necklace. So this one is by BaubleBar, and I love the way it catches the light. I love layering it with other necklaces as well. And I just pair with everyday, normal outfits, and it’s so nice. Like I said, I love how it catches the light. It’s just a subtle but substantial necklace at the same time. It’s not overwhelming, it’s just really, really, really pretty. And I love it, and I love how you can get your own initial and make it a little bit more personalized.
Here is the foundation of the next outfit, and it is, again, a full, monochrome, head-to-toe look. This is a long winter dress. It’s so warm. It is a ribbed sweater by the way, and I will say that in a recent article, I talked about how ribbed sweaters can possibly look cheap. Now, I never actually thought that or really said that. It was more like a few of my readers were commenting that to me, which is why I included it in that article. But I will say this particular ribbed sweater is extremely thick and warm. It does not appear cheap to me at all. So I love the color, and again, I love how it makes the head-to-toe monochrome look be really wearable and easy. Now, we’re gonna build onto this with a few things, the first being chunky boots, which is the next trend I am seeing everywhere. These are the black chunky boots that I was wearing in the last outfit. I wear these all the time. I love how they kind of have a combat boot look, but they’re also Chelsea boots, so, in my opinion, they’re a lot more wearable. And I also love the tread on the bottom. And then, these are my newest pair. These are by Steve Madden, and these are what I love with this particular outfit. I love how it’s a lighter, more feminine look because of the light beige. Again, the tread is just great for winter.
They give you some height, but they’re so comfortable and just wearable all day. That’s the keyword of this article, wearable. The next trend that I am seeing and loving is mixing tight with chunky. So we’ve got the more form-fitting, tight, foundational piece. It’s the dress. Or you could do the leggings or the one-piece, whatever. We’ve got the chunky boots. And now, we have the chunky coat, which, this is by Topshop. I just, first of all, love the style of it, the way it looks. This is a nice beige color. I’m just loving all of the beiges together. I think this also comes in black. But the best part of this coat is the faux fur lining inside.
It’s so soft, but it also goes down the entire arm. There’s so many coats out there where it’s nice, and soft, and warm in the main section of the coat. But then, the arms are not like that. And so, it’s not really a warm coat. So this is just, I love the look of it, but again, it actually keeps you warm. Okay, so I’m really excited about this next trend, just because this is a chunkier belt, which we’re seeing a lot more of. But there’s just so many things you can do with this particular belt. It is from Nordstrom. I got it in a cognac color, but they also have black and a chocolate mocha brown, so you would just go for whatever you think would incorporate best into your own clothes. So there’s so much you can do with this, like I said. First, you can totally change up the look of any dress. You actually take the thicker part of the belt and put it in the front of you. And then, you just wrap it around like so. And then, it really cinches your waist, and you could tie this into a knot, or you could let the straps hang down like I’m going to.
And it completely transforms the look of the dress. It’s just like a completely different dress. Super quick, I wasn’t really planning on talking about these shoes that I’m wearing with this particular outfit, but I noticed that they are on sale right now, probably because they’re not a winter shoe, I guess, depending on where you live. But they do have an element of trendiness, because they are a tortoiseshell pattern, but they’re just really comfortable, and they’re a nice, thick block heel. So they’re easy to wear, and I feel like the color is really versatile. You can wear them with many different things, like I’m wearing them with this outfit. So, again, just wanted to point them out, because they are on sale. Okay, so we’re onto the next outfit, which, if you notice, I am again wearing the Spanx faux leather leggings. I’m telling you guys, there are so many different outfits you can incorporate these leggings into. You will wear them way more than you expect. And one other thing I wanted to mention.
I know I keep raving about them, but they’re also a great cold weather layering piece. I’ll actually wear them underneath my jeans if I really want to be warm on a certain day. I’ll also wear them under my snow pants when I’m playing outside in the snow. They’re just really good. I think the faux leather material blocks out that cold air.
But anyway, if you’re gonna just wear them with your normal outfits, that’s great too. I’m wearing a chunky sweater in this particular outfit. Again, mixing the tight with the chunky. But the main trend for this particular outfit is the sherpa jacket. So, I love this particular sherpa jacket. We saw these start in 2020, and they’re definitely making their way into 2021. This one is by BP, and it is just fluffy, and soft, and really well-priced. BP is one of my favorite brands at Nordstrom. It does have a gray hood, which I think is really cute. It kind of makes it a little bit more casual. And then, as far as shoes, again, I’m incorporating the chunky boots. I feel like the black boots would look great with this outfit.
The beige boots would look great with this outfit. But if you don’t even wanna do the chunky boots, even sneakers would look great with this outfit. So that’s another thing about these wearable trends, they work so well because there’s so many different ways you can wear them. Okay, so the next winter trend is a winter hat. Now, I know, this is a no-brainer. This is like something that really doesn’t go out of style. It’s just, a lot of people don’t actually wear winter hats. And I think they can take your outfit from good to great just by adding it. So, I wanna share just a few of my favorite current styles, first being what I am wearing. I love the poof on the top. We’ve been seeing this for a few years. I’m still loving it. This one is my personal favorite, just because it is a beige color.
It does come in many colors, but this one is extremely wearable, versatile, you can just grab it, and it usually works. This one is a little bit more classic, just because it doesn’t have the poof on the top. If you’re noticing now, I did add it to that first outfit that I was wearing, and again, it takes it up just a notch. And then, finally, we have this winter headband, which a lot of people don’t actually have or wear. But I do think it not only keeps you warm, but I do think it’s a little bit more stylish, and it’s also neutral. So that does it for my 10 winter fashion trends that are not weird, but they are wearable. So I’ll link everything down below, if you wanna check anything out. I’ll also link some other options and price points too.
