I’m wearing a hat for today’s I’m currently doing a hair detox if you will so I’m trying to go once a week without watching my hair the natural oils are really good for your scalp so I need a hat today I think I’m on like day four or five I don’t think I’m gonna last past today but I’m trying so I’m wearing a hat for now I think it’s safe to say there’s a hair on my hat I think
I got it I think it’s safe to say that we’re all very happy that 2020 is over and uh it’s a new year it’s a new year I’ve never really been the person to say like new year new me or anything but but I feel like this year is going to be better vibes let’s I feel like we’re all gonna we’re all ready to move on and with that let’s move on to some fun fashion trends that I’m obsessed with and that I think are going to continue to flourish in 2021 there’s a ton of prince patterns colors that I think are going to be trending for 2021 namely zebra I think zebra print is kind of replacing leopard print I think leopard is going to slowly dissipate and zebra is going to come back in I don’t know if I’m totally on that trend I think it’ll take me a while to come around to it like it like the bucket hat did there’s checkered print that
I’m seeing a lot of the um skin shirts are another one seeing a lot of white boots this coming year particularly white knee-high boots those lug sole boots that I really really love they’re they’re trending and white right now just a few things that are really trending that I’ve been seeing a lot of but I’m going to get into the five of my favorite trends for 2021 that I’m obsessed with that I cannot wait to start wearing so let’s dive in number one loose fits and cuts I think quarantine had a lot of us really living that sweat suit sweatpants life and I think loose baggy jeans were coming back and I think we’re gonna see a lot more of that this year I personally really like the loose jeans anything that’s comfortable I’m super on board for comfortable and fashionable I love another one that is going to be huge this year and was big towards the end of last year too is checkets
I just recently heard this term within the last yearI’m seeing them all over Instagram I’m seeing a ton of brands carrying them I’ve purchased a few of them myself one of them I do have here that I’ve worn since I’ve been on the island the few times that I’ve been able to wear it that it’s been a little bit brisker but it’s it’s basically it’s not a jacket it’s not a shirt it’s a fabric that’s right in between it’s lighter than a jacket it’s thicker than a shirt so it’s kind of that in-between fabric and these are typically looser fit I’ve been seeing them a lot in like a checkered plaid pattern I’m really excited about slackest I have a few actually coming to my house back in Canada for when I do get home next I think is going to continue to be big because we saw a lot of this last year as well is pastel tones I fell in love with the color lavender last year and my obsession with it has not dissipated at all I think we’re going to see a lot of sorbet colors
Light pinks light blues light greens all these all of the light color I think neon is I mean personally I feel like neon will kind of be replaced by these pastel colors which I’m actually excited about because I personally never got into neon I don’t think I own one nail thing so I’m really excited uh pastel colors I think are going to be continue to be on the rise this year and yay for that because that is something that’s a color I can get on board with is the nice light pretty kind of reminds me of when I was a kid I had a ballerina pink bedroom and the walls were all this like really pretty pink and I was obsessed with my Barbie’s and I was the total girly girl and it just kind of reminds me of a little bit of like youthful of my childhood a little it’s nice fourth style that I am obsessed with is the polo styles that are coming in light knit polo shirts pullovers cardigans I think there’s gonna be a lot more of that this year it’s like you’re you’re preppy and you’re put together but at the same time your cool casual kind of like I didn’t try but I did try and I love that I think that effortless style is my favorite also seeing a lot of the tennis skirts the pleated pleated skirts and finally number five
We saw a lot of this last year and I think it’s just gonna be I think it’s gonna be just as big this year uh baguette bags I love this it keeps in tune with that effortless style that I was talking about it’s not too structured it has a very 90s feel to it and I’m so excited about that I actually purchased my first designer baguette bag last year and I’m going to be totally honest with you guys so I bought this online and I thought that it was going to be smaller than it was I did do the measurements with the tape before I bought it to kind of judge and for whatever reason when I measured it out at home and kind of like held my you know like okay that’s not that’s that’s good size
Like I don’t know what I was thinking I don’t know why I thought that this would be like a good size for a bag roughly I wanted a smaller one I wanted like a little mini one that you could put over your shoulder and the one that I bought was a lot bigger and it came from london and it was a fortune to get here and I just it was like they didn’t have it in the states for some reason or on their online site I think they were sold out so I bought it in london I shipped it here I didn’t want to return it I was like no you know what I can make this work like this is still beautiful it’s still like the style I wanted it’s just slightly bigger I can make it work I love it still andI’mI’m happy with the bag but I do wish it was a bit smaller it’s it’s quite large I mean you can make it work but it’s it’s larger than I had intended but nonetheless baguette bags I love them
I’m so excited that Prada one you’ve seen trending probably all over the place this fundi one I really liked because it was this like suede brown all right I’m obsessed with brown I love I always love the color brown it’s a timeless color I felt like this one was was going to last me for a long time so I bought it because it was it wasn’t as trendy as the prada bag and I liked that but it was still baguette style and it still had all the the features and the functions that I wanted in that baguette bag but nonetheless there’s so many beautiful baguette bags right now any baguette bags I mean we see them on asks zara yeah there’s they’re they’re hot so that’s it for this video those are my five fashion obsessions for 2021I’m so excited to be able to go home and wear them for you guys once I get back to canada give you a little inspiration I do hope you guys have a wonderful start to the new year and I will see you in the next one
